Hoppo Onsen was discovered in 1802 and is the oldest hot spring in Shiga Kogen. It is a rare steam hot spring where natural water is poured over the hot spring steam that gushes from the bedrock. It is effective for neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulders, chronic skin diseases, and chronic women's diseases.
